To What's Left of the Duggan Clan...

I wish you a very wonderful life.

"When the light begins to fade,
And shadows fall across the sea,
One bright star in the evening sky,
Your love's light leads me on my way.

There's a dream that will not sleep,
A burning hope that will not die.
So I must go now with the wind,
And leave you waiting on the tide.

Time to fly, time to touch the sky.
One voice alone - a haunting cry.
One song, one star burning bright,
Let it carry me through darkest night.

Rain comes over the grey hills,
And on the air, a soft goodbye.
Hear the song that I sing to you,
When the time has come to fly.

When I leave and take the wing,
And find the land that fate will bring,
The brightest star in the evening sky,
(Is your love far from me)
Is your love waiting far for me.

(oh)Is your love waiting far from me...."

The Dream Continues...

...and they are just drop-dead cute too, especially in those really, really short ... a-n-y-w-a-y, just listen! Ages range from 23-26. So, if you have ANY doubt that you can accommplish something (at any age) here is your proof.

The tryouts (above) are a literal dream come true for them. Go to their website to learn more.

SEMI-FINALS (awesome)
FINALS

They almost broke up before the contest, but decided to just go ahead and do it. So never give up!

Unfortunately, although I haven't confirmed it, they lost in the finals...huh?...I cannot believe it. But I have read it in comments from others. They have gone on to touring all over and have their first CD out (see below).

To listen to their CD of there first audition song click here, NOW! Click the song Palladio. The real name is "Palladio/Allregretto" (and YES another CLASSICAL music number-YOU WILL START TO LIKE CLASSICAL). This is the WHOLE song that was originally played on Britain's Got Talent performance you see above. You only get 2 minutes to perform so the video is not the full song.

If this doesn't get you going, God help you.

The next song down, Kashmir is awesome too. Oh heck, just listen to the whole CD.

The CD is titled "Escala." It was JUST released on May 25, 2009, so it is still really new. They changed their name to Escala because there was some other childrens group with "Scala" name.

Then order a personal copy of it here. Hurry, do it now! It is actually pretty cheap for a CD.

Dreams Do Come True...

Sue Son on Britain's equivalent to our American Idol show...Britain's Got Talent 2009.

Click the picture above to view the YouTube video. And just in case you are wondering, the piece she chose to play is an incredibly difficult classical number by Vivaldi entitled "Storm". The video has been edited because the song is much longer than you will see (just ask me how I know).

I think it is the first time I have seen Simon Cowell with a total look of amazement on his face.

Never give up. Dreams do come true. Fulfill your destiny.

A Little Lifting Up for a Friend

Tony Dupuis from Lake Charles, LA informed me on Saturday evening that his father passed away. Tony's mother was holding him in her arms when he died.

I don't know about you, but I think that is pretty awesome and shows what real love is all about. He was pretty much alert up until the end, which is amazing.

Tony and I went to high school together at Sam Houston High School in Moss Bluff, LA just north of Lake Charles.

Tony has several CDs out. He is also a wonderful painter, for which I give him some grief as to how he paints, but it is amazing what he does. Many of his CDs are available at Target (online), CDBaby, Amazon and many more. So he is no amateur by any means.

Here is a link to his MySpace page so you can listen to some of his music. While you listen scroll down and read his "About Tony Dupuis" THEN just take a look at some of the people that have linked to his "Friend" section...yeah, you will be surprised. He really is that good and respected in the music industry!

Click the CD graphic at the top and you can see what is available at CDBaby. You can also do a search for "Tony Dupuis" on Amazon and Target. While you are looking, order something, it will help him tremendously.

Tony and I have tried to support each other, via phone for a few years now. Encouraging and remembering old times, which mainly consisted of being stupid...but it still makes us laugh.

He is a great...no, no, no...awesome drummer and has played with so many of the top performers. Some of whom were in bands that we all grew up with a billion years ago.

I wish Tony and his entire family the very best. I am glad and honored to be his friend.
