Hunter & Jake Photos Update
I have uploaded some of their wedding day photographs onto the website.
Just so you will not get all out-of-whack...these are NOT all the photographs.
The ones that are there now are the pictures that were used in the WebShow and the Album Showcase. Now, I could have missed a couple but they will be posted eventually, so hang in there!
Just wanted you to know.

Hunter & Jake Album Showcase
Ok, I am up to page 52, for their Album Showcase. Once I get all the page layouts completed, I will go back and add some quotes, poems, etc., then add some background music and upload to the website.
I have to say I have never designed so many pages this quickly. I need to take advantage of the effort.
Another incentive to getting it done is, I have another wedding this coming Saturday. If you get backed-up just a little, it can be a nightmare.
So you gotta check back often.
For those that are new to all this, this is the pre-design for a coffee-table album. If Hunter and Jake wish to get one, they can help design the final layout. But this will give them a good starting point.
It seems to be going pretty fast, but you never know. I am zipping along pretty good, and since I cannot sleep, well that gives me an incentive to "get 'er done".
I'm hungry...need to eat.

Wow...how true.
Just some words of wisdom.
A Message by George Carlin:
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...
Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.
Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.
Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.
Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Wedding on Saturday!!
This wedding was actually booked about a full year ago. Hunter and Jake will be getting married at Lake Martin at the Children's Harbor Church. I am looking forward to this wedding.
I am going to make a dry run on Friday just so I know where the "Barn" is...that is where the reception is going to be.
I have some prep stuff to do to get ready along with the regular day-to-day things I need to accomplish, so I am off.

Shot a Formal Bridal Yesterday...
I photographed Katie Murphy yesterday for her formal bridal at Shakespeare. Unfortunately, for both of us, I am not shooting her wedding. It is very sad...
This is a shot of her ring and I am going to have to admit, it came out so detailed and nearly perfect that I just had to post a picture of it. A truly beautiful ring. Her fiance did pretty good with the ring-thing. I guess he is a keeper.
You can click on the picture above to get a more detailed view...awesome!
I don't want to give a free plug, but I am hearing almost the same 1-2 jeweler names when I photograph brides...How are the others making it???
Here is a link to all the photos we took. You will need to contact Katie to get the password...sorry...groom access and all.
I am still getting them edited, retouched and enhanced, so visit the website often to view all of them.

Brochures Being Printed
New brochures are on their way! I should have them in by Wednesday of this week.
You can view the inside of them by going to the "Download Brochures" section on the right-hand side of the Homepage and click on the one you want to look at. If you want, you can save the .pdf to your hard drive.
If you would like a physical copy, just email me with the "Request a Brochure" link at the top of the page and let me know what you want me to send to you...oh yeah...don't forget to give me your mailing address.
Hmmm...I am trying to figure out which one will be the most popular...

New Homepage Stuff!
I am currently working on getting some new brochures designed for various types of services. I have made a section on the Homepage for people to view the inside part on their screen. You will be able to save the .pdf file to your hard drive.
The .pdf version is just the inside information of the brochure. You know, things like pricing, etc.
I do not have physical versions of all of them, yet. But you can request one be sent to you by clicking the "Request a Brochure" graphic at the top of the screen. I will forward one to you when they arrive.
Oh...and don't forget to include your MAILING address with your request...yeah, it happens more often than you can imagine. I get the "Please send me a wedding brochure" emails all the time without an address. I know, it is all that excitement of an upcoming wedding...

Stat Time!
Ok, here are the most recent statistics for my website. I know you are just incredibly curious.
"Average" numbers are based on a 45 day period
Average Hits per day = 7810.08 (have had a few with almost 40,000 hits per day, one with just under 90,000 ... I know hard to believe)
Total Number of visitors = 1945
Server to client bytes - 11.98 gigs (data transferred from the server to the customers computer)
Total Hits so far for 2008 - 351,494
Countries hitting my website:
Malaysia
Canada
Germany
Australia
United Kingdom
Mexico
United Arab Emmirates (huh?)
Nigeria (huh?) (must be those low-life email scammers checking me out)
Republic of Korea
How people are getting to my website:
Through my blog (highest rating)
Google search
Open Source Photo (photography forum)
Yahoo search
Live.com (MSN search)
AOL search
I am still amazed that people do a GOOGLE search for the phrase "www.dugganstudio.com". Why don't they just type that into the web address url box??? A LOT of people just type that phrase into a google search...never understood that.
Someone is using a Blackberry to view my website...kinda cool.
Ok, that is enough...work up early ON A SATURDAY, and kinda bored.

New Wedding Brochures Ordered!
Ok, they are being printed as I type. I will probably have some by (possibly) Wednesday. If not it will be Thursday for sure.
These are going to be printed on a Pearl paper, which is really awesome. I just ordered a few to see how they look, and determine if I need to get them "coated". The Pearl paper is really neat and can give a photo an almost 3-D effect.
I will have the inside available for download via the Homepage today as a .pdf file, so if you are wanting to get a copy right away, you can download it from there. The .pdf files tend to be ... well, large so if you have problems downloading it just request one. Once you get it downloaded, save it to your hard drive so you can access it faster.
A link to the price list from here just does not download, so you will need to go to the Homepage.
The download is really fast if you have the latest version of Adobe Reader 8.1. Click here to go to their website and download it for FREE now.
If you want a real copy, email me by clicking the "Request a Brochure" graphic, on the Homepage, and I will send you one when they come in.

Melissa and Jonathan
I couldn't sleep, so as usual I start to play. Yes, I am very lonely...
This is one of the pictures from Melissa's and Jonathan's engagement photos I shot yesterday. This one is an art pencil drawing that I did of picture #159. They were actually standing on the bridge at Shakespeare. You can click on the picture to view a larger version.
I just took the most important part of the picture and fancied it up a bit. I think it kinda speaks very loudly about their relationship.
This is another example of taking a, somewhat ordinary, photograph and making something very, very special out of it.
Can your wedding photographer give you that level of service?
Hope you enjoy.

Congratulations to Melissa & Jonathan!
They are getting married September 13, 2008, at the Kingdom Hall on Perry Hill Road, in Montgomery, Alabama.
We just took engagement pictures yesterday, so here is the first one processed. You can click here to view all of them, as I get them finished.
From what I can tell they turned out really well. So well that I am wondering if I really took them, or did I black out and someone else grabbed the camera! Or...there is another personality involved...Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's it. I guess it could happen. I really believe they think I am crazy. I am referring to Melissa and Jonathan and NOT any "personalities".
Anyway, you can click on the picture to make it bigger and get a better look at the masterpiece.
I just need to edit, retouch and enhance the rest and post them up on the website. I hope to get them up this weekend, or the first of the week.
To view their "Wedding Spotlight" listing, go to the homepage and click on the "Wedding Spotlight" graphic. Their listing is on the "M" page (M = Melissa). There you will be able to view the Gallery, the WebShow and the Album Showcase from one location. Sorta one-stop shopping!!
You know, gift certificates for the bride and groom can help a lot! Don't be left out with all the other people helping other brides! Click here to order a gift certificate for them! They will love you! No, really they mentioned you by name, if I am not mistaken.

New Wedding Brochure Coming!
That's right! A totally re-designed wedding brochure is coming.
Initially you will be able to download the inside .pdf from the Homepage by clicking the "Download Brochure" graphic at the top of the page.
I should get some physical brochures in next week. I am finishing up the final designs today, or this weekend at the latest.
The download should be available shortly. If you have problems downloading because of your computer speed or slow internet access, click on the "Request a Brochure" graphic and email me with your request. When I get them in I will send you one. Thanks!!
